Update 2009

Wild flowers in the garden. Our wildflower area has been a success this spring and summer and continues to bloom into the autumn. It has attracted many species of butterflies bees and other insects, including lacewings. We are now adding a pond to the kitchen garden to broaden the diversity of habitats in this small but fruitful garden. We are hoping the meadow flowers will self seed to give an equally beautiful display next year. In the meantime we are planting many winter and spring flowering bulbs to add a splash of colour to the garden prior to the meadow flowers.
